Application Manager uncovers and defines the best present and
future applications of our environmental solutions, nurtures strong
links with industrial communities, supports sales in developing the
business, and provides valuable insights to product managers to
ensure the product roadmap is fit for growth. They are
industry-specific application experts who specialize in
understanding the intricacies of our customers' applications and
providing support to their specification needs. They play a vital
role in winning new business, resolving issues, and maximizing
customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:
- Be the expert for CAI Envea analyzer applications and
solutions.
- Provide technical support to clients by addressing and
troubleshooting application-related issues.
- Aid clients with the installation, configuration, and
customization of applications.
- Collaborate with Product Managers to find and address
application issues.
- Gather client feedback, requirements, and communicate them to
Product Management to influence future products, solutions, and
services.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate clients on
application features and best practices.
- Provide technical expertise for proposals, including vetting
the application, selecting the right analyzer/instrument to quote,
and providing recommended accessories and spare parts.
- Support sales managers in maintaining and developing new
analytical sales in their territories.
- Develop deep relationships within the industry, including
end-users, OEMs, laboratories, universities, system integrators,
and stack testers.
- Accompany the sales manager on sales calls, lunch and learns,
trade shows, and industry-specific events.
- Take ownership of customer pilots to ensure success.
- Attend trade shows, providing technical expertise on the CAI
Envea solutions.
- Be networked within the industry to gain intelligence on
competition, strategy, culture, pricing, and path to market.
- Develop industry-specific sales measures and initiatives.
- Generate and acquire leads and customers for industry-specific
product innovations.
- Strategically align technologies and applications with industry
requirements.
- Develop, elaborate, and replicate industry-specific
applications and solutions.
- Contribute to product ideation based on industry trends.
- Contribute sales arguments and training content for product
launches.
- Train sales units regarding sales to focus industries.
- Identify and define applications for environmental
solutions.
- Engage with customers during field visits.
- Create and share best practices for tool optimization.Profile:
- Bachelor's degree or associated degree in a technical
field.
- Experience in the analytical instrumentation industry or
related analytical applications.
- Knowledge of analyzer technologies is a plus.
- Experience with EPA & ASTM test methodologies and analytical
industry standards is also a plus.
- Results-oriented, initiative-taking work ethic.
- Ability to multi-task with multiple priorities and
projects.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication
skills.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products.
- Successfully completed engineering or physics degree or
comparable qualification.
- Excellent knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
- Ideally, knowledge of German or French.
- Experienced in the use of SAGE, MS Office, and
Salesforce.com.
- Organizational skills and assertiveness to get things
done.
- Experience in an international environment and working in
international teams.
- Experience in working with sales and product management.
- Ability to simplify and communicate technical matters to
others.Location: Orange County, CA USATravel: Willingness to
travel, this may be 30 - 40% of the time, some of which will be
international.Compensation Package: The package will depend on the
candidate's level of industry knowledge and will fall into the $120
- $180k bracket with a comprehensive benefits package.
